Socialism, Command Economy,Doles cannot eliminate poverty.

We saw how Soviet Union and Eastern Europe crumbled under the weight of Socialism.

Doles are at best palliatives. Limited, targeted they can do good. But if it is a license to win votes and make people get money without work, it is counterproductive.

Since independence, political leaders have been talking of garibi hatao..... why hasnt garibi gone?

What will remove poverty is:
Education
Infrastructure
Market Economy that rewards merit.

Government should not use taxpayers money to make doles. Tax payers pay taxes to be provided with public goods. When that is not provided, people avoid paying taxes.
